The excitement level was high at the 2010 Back to School Bash held at Emerson Family School. The first Town Hall meeting for the Oktibbeha County Excel By 5 Coalition was a success with a capacity crowd.

The Oktibbeha County Excel By 5 Coalition held its first Town Hall Meeting on July 24, 2010 during the annual Back to School Bash at Emerson Family School in Starkville. A capacity crowd was present to participate in the Back to School Bash that included over 20 community agencies and organizations promoting their services available for families, health screenings, and several fun activities for the families to participate in together. During the Town Hall Meeting the local coalition shared the results of the recent Community Needs Assessment and Community Action Plan that will provide many events and activities in the coming months for families in Oktibbeha County.

On Saturday, July 24th the Oktibbeha County Community will have the opportunity to participate in a Back to School Bash and Town Meeting. The event will be held at Emerson Family School 10:00-12:00. Various health agencies will be present and many fun activities for the entire family will be available.
At 11:30 the Oktibbeha County Excel By 5 Coalition will host its first Town Meeting. During the Town Meeting the coalition will share results from the recent Community Needs Assessment and planned events and activities to help us meet those needs. Time will also be given for questions from those in attendance. Door prizes will be awarded at the end of the Town Meeting. See the link below for more information.
