WE ARE CERTIFIED!!! 
Monroe County recently became the first “county” in the State of Mississippi to become EXCEL BY 5 certified.  Our communities have come together and parents, educators, and early childhood champions have worked diligently to insure that all Monroe County children have the opportunities they deserve.  From Smithville to Hamilton, and all points in between, some 2400 children – age birth to five – are reaping the benefits and preparing to begin school ready to learn.
