Excel By 5 certification requires a community coming together to benefit children. Using the focus areas necessary for certification, Monroe County's Community Involvement, Family & Parent Support, Early Care & Education and Health focus groups are working together to ensure that every child in Monroe County has a quality early childhood experience.

To achieve this goal, all Monroe County residents are asked to partner with the Monroe County Excel By 5 Coalition to promote an environment in which a child can achieve their hopes, dreams, and opportunities.
